Gerry "The Big Bear" Barrett

A proud member of the Saugeen First Nation in Ontario and is one of Canada’s favorite Indigenous Comedians and Elvis Presley Tribute Artists.
Gerry has performed on the Comedy Network, CBC Television, CBC Radio, the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network and the Winnipeg Comedy Festival.

In 2013, Gerry performed stand-up comedy and his Elvis show at an Inaugural Ball for U.S. President Barack Obama in Washington, DC. In 2004 he made television history by performing on North America’s first, all Indigenous, stand-up comedy, television special; Welcome to Turtle Island. Gerry also wrote and produced his own television stand-up special for the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network, titled, The Big Bear Comedy Show.

Gerry is a survivor of "the Sixties Scoop" and incorporates his life's adventures as an Indigenous person into every performance.

Gerry has been invited to perform comedy & Elvis at corporate events, festivals and community shows across North America.
